Hello! My name is Jordon and I'm a business psychologist, experienced in the fields of talent assessment and learning/development.
The driving purpose in my career is to help people gain valuable insights about themselves and their skills, in order to provide meaningful development opportunities that benefit their careers.
After earning my MSc in Occupational Psychology from the University of Surrey (UK) in 2013, I went straight into work as a talent assessment consultant. I've since moved into learning and development, and eventually assumed responsibility as the primary in-house L&D strategist for the great people at Talogy.
I became a British expat last year, after moving to the Czech Republic with my wonderful wife and daughter. Based in the Frýdek-Místek region, I continue working on a global level with Talogy, while also now providing freelance talent management services to other clients.
I've been an external consultant to clients around the world, as well as an internal voice for a global People Operations team, contracting with stakeholders up and down the organisation (frequently including the C-suite). I've had responsibility for strategy and budget, and seen many ways people can build effective talent processes. I can use my experiences to provide you with advice around your technologies and methodologies concerning recruitment, onboarding, performance management, L&D, career and leadership solutions, etc.
Throughout my career, I've been designing content across the talent lifecycle. With a careful balance of scientific basis and practicality, I can do the same for you. This could include the design of job descriptions, competency frameworks, interview guides, psychometric assessment items, workplace simulations (e.g. roleplays, inbox activities, presentations, etc), e-learning and video content (using Articulate and Adobe CC respectively), training workshops, long-form development programs, L&D strategy, and more.
I've had plenty of practice in delivering a variety of talent management activities, including assessing job candidates, onboarding new starters, providing one-to-one coaching, facilitating workshops, hosting global events, etc. I've trained interviewers, accredited people in psychometrics, provided career guidance, managed global development programs for specialist and leadership tracks, and even delivered workshops on topics such as resilience, willpower, personality, and emotional intelligence. I can do the same for you.
As you can see from the information above, there are many services I could potentially provide for you as a partner, all of which are highly flexible. The best way to know if I can align with your situation, is to start a conversation.
I've also loved being a mentor, and providing support to aspiring business psychologists and early-career talent management professionals. So equally, if you're interested in getting in touch for non-business reasons, please feel free to connect!
